Meiji Jungu is a huge shrine tucked into the woods at the edge of Harajuku. Its one of my favorites. Dedicated to the Meiji Emperor and his wife Empress Shoken, it was finished in 1921. Read more about it here (or chose a more credible site if you’re realllly interested). Since it was the last day of the New Year celebrations, we took my friend’s visiting Thai friends there last night. Its quite beautiful at night, don’t you think?
