I thought I’d post these since (as of yesterday) we’re on the subject of street art. I was pretty excited to find one of Karl’s latest installations on Capital Hill (the first image). Pretty cool huh? I like the idea that you can see right through him into whatever the background is. What I’m wondering is, was that other tag there already? Or did it get added after he finished?

I’m a fan of Karl’s work! There’s tonnes of black and white illustration work out there but there’s something striking about his style.
I agree, I think I like how personal it is.
I really like the first installation too. Very clever.
I think someone saw his awesome drawing (or stencil?) and was like, “I’m taking credit for this.”
Oh, and those little sticker drawings, like in the second and third photo, are my favorites. This person in San Francisco draws a really cool one that I see everywhere. I’ll try to capture it maybe. It looks like a metroid. (http://metroid.retropixel.net/faq/metroid.jpg)
