SunDAZE in Ballard

My lovely city has been in the habit of giving us dreary and rainy weekdays but gloriously sunny weekends lately. A few Sunday’s ago Michelle, Carmel and I took advantage of this and went to Ballard for the day. We ate brunch at Bastille (the lavender french toast is so good it will make you blush), we smelled the flowers and sampled the apples at the farmer’s market, we bought an absurd number of houseplants at The Palm Room, we ate raspberry and chocolate macarons. Afternoon came too fast and we weren’t about to let our perfect day end, so we wandered over to Capitol Hill for happy hour at Oddfellows cafe and shared a few plates while people watching. We spent the rest of the evening with a glass of wine in hand, listening to music and gushing about how we would spend future Sundays.

It was a truly succulent day and I can’t wait to tell you about the next one :)

Michelle’s clear sunglasses are so cool and so is Bastille’s shop front, oozing coolness.
