Olympic Sculpture Park

I wasn’t kidding when I said I had a ton of photos from Ben’s visit on the way. You know I actually still have a bunch of pictures from my trip to Hawaii in January to share too…maybe I should just start uploading to Flickr again.

Here are some silly photos of us playing around in Sculpture Park (the Seattle Art Museum’s outdoor gallery of sorts). Add it to your list if you haven’t been, it’s a very nice place to spend an afternoon! There’s also a beautiful new sculpture there that you can see in the 3rd photo. I had a very hard time pulling myself away from it..

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week! :)

  1. I love the sculpture park! It’s definitely one of my favourite places in Seattle. Also your dress is super cute!

    • Bummer! I think it was just a temporary installation but they do them there all the time so you’ll have to swing by the area next time you visit!

  2. Interesting. Is the name the legacy of any particular year’s Olympics?

Living in the UK, one wonders what will be the legacy of the London ones next year…

    • I think it’s named for the view of the nearby mountains. Interesting question about the legacy of the Olympics though!

  3. Reminds me of the time I went to a sculpture park
in Washington D.C. The sign’s said not to touch
them but there was one – only one – that invited you
to sit on it – I wonder if it was some kind of intrapment?

  4. compared with the park, i like the couple better, looks very matching and cool :P

  6. Hi Allison. My name is Bridget and I’m new to wordpress, so I’ve just been exploring different blogs that come up on Freshly Pressed and I found yours. I’m more of a person who expresses themselves through words than photos, so I find what you say through pictures fascinating. I love the Oh, The Places You’ll Go! post because that book is one of my favorites. I’m curious to see where you’ll take me next! Have a fabulous day, and feel free to check out my blog. :-)

    • Hi Bridget! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, it means a lot to me. I’d love to check out your blog – do you have a link to it? (Sorry I know this reply is super late!)

    • These are great! Was there an event going on the day you visited or was it just that busy? I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many people there!

  7. Your blog can give us much information and open our eyes. I can gain a lot from your post! Keep update!

  8. Nice photos, i like it. Thanks for your sharing, it’s so great if my town had something like this. I hope you can post more great things like this in future. Regard.
