Discovery Park II

Here are the rest of my photos from Discovery Park. It’s a pretty incredible place, isn’t it?

One of the things I love about Seattle is that everywhere you go there are these utterly breathtaking views of water. I feel like I could turn down a corner anywhere and suddenly be looking at the sea.

Reminds me that it’s been a while since I visited Alki Beach…hmm, perhaps I’ll go there next! (Also, seeing that old post reminds me that I haven’t asked you guys for music reqs in a while – what have you been listening to lately?)

  1. Your last posts -including this one- are amazing! Your pictures are great and the place looks breathtaking.
I’m so sorry for not commenting at all lately, I guess that now I just browse the Internet during the little breaks between work or from Uni’s library. That’s not very inspiring.
But, as always, thanks for sharing these! I wish I could be there, or you here… well, I wish we could meet :)

    About music recently:
    – The Arcade Fire (specially ‘The Suburbs’)
    – Radiohead (always a personal favorite)
    – ‘Hurt’, by Johnny Cash
    – Freelance Whales
    – J. S. Bach’s ‘Goldberg Variations’
    – a LOT of Kpop -Super Junior SHINee, BigBang, B2ST (I have no shame)

    • I wish we could meet too! One of these days I’m DEFINITELY going to Spain :) Thanks for the music reqs. I love that you’re shamelessly listening to kpop. Hahaha.

  2. BEAUTIFUL! Plus it’s nice to see people nicely decked out in jackets and boots in your photos of the water. Mine’s like sweat and slippers! Anyway so what’s the conclusion about $10 air tickets to Singapore?! I want to reply on twitter but it get so overwhelming when my phone goes beeping beep beep!!

    • I know what you mean! My twitter response rate isn’t always so good. I don’t think I could accept a gift of that size, but I’m going to come to Singapore one of these days!

Enjoy that hot weather for me and I’ll enjoy the cool weather here for you :)

  3. oh these are really inspiring allison! i am drawn to #1 and #4.

right now these are on repeat (even in my head when its not playing):

    &
aloe blacc’s “you make me smile”

  4. Hmm.

Mayer Hawthorne is doing it for me lately! and the latest Black Keys album – Brothers.

    great pics as always allison!

  5. I love these! The first picture is so serene looking.

Since I watched the farewell LCD Soundsystem show I’ve been listening to them a lot. I also really like Lykke Li’s new song “I Follow Rivers”. There are some decent remixes of it around too.

  6. Allison. This place is beautiful! I always love how you captured people in your photos :) I miss going out to parks…the hot weather here makes it more difficult for me to go out to explore…hot hot hot
